2018 & 2019 Racing Seasons – Recap and Results

Hello! It’s been a while but, I’m back! And, what better way than to bring you a recap of 2018 and 2019 (at least as far as running goes). So, here we go…

I think 2018 may have been my banner year for running (thus far (I hope)). It wasn’t necessarily my fastest but it was by far my busiest and certainly where I found my stride.

March – Corktown Races 19:39 (6th Overall Female)
April – Martian Invasion of Races 20:02 (1st Overall Female)
May – MOM 20:05 (1st Overall Female)
May – Grand Prix 20:20 (1st Overall Female)
June – Riverfront Run 20:13 (1st Overall Female)
July – Escape from Belle Isle 20:50 (1st Overall Female)
August – Rock n’ Roll Cleveland 19:24 (1st Overall Female)
September – Catch Me If You Can, Evans Lake 20:39 (1st Overall)
September – Jolly Pumpkin Beer Run 20:16 (1st Overall Female)
Oh These Irish Hills 20:47 (2nd Overall, 2nd Female)
October – Run Scream Run 19:47 (1st Overall Female)
November – Turkey Trot (Run for fun!)

This past year I ran in “only” 8 races. Compared to the 12 I ran the year before, it certainly felt less crammed but I tried to stick with my one-per-month rule. I didn’t hit any PR’s and, to be honest, at times I almost felt blasé about competing, but looking back it was a great year of running, racing & having fun!

March – Corktown Races 20:38 (11th Overall Female)
April – Martian Invasion of Races 19:39 (2nd Overall Female)
May – MOM 20:09 (1st Overall Female)
June – Riverfront Run 20:48 (1st Overall Female)
July – Founders Beer Run 20:23 (1st Overall Female)
September – Catch Me If You Can, Evans Lake (1st Overall)
October – Run Scream Run 19:44 (1st Overall Female)
October – Brewnuts Run Cleveland 19:47 (1st Overall Female)

Most of these races over the past couple years were courses and races that I’ve completed before. While there are definitely some favorites that are sure to be repeats in 2020, I am looking forward to finding some new cities, new courses and new races in the coming year.
