Alpha HIIT

Now that summer is almost here (close enough) it’s time to take those workouts outside! There’s really nothing I love more than a hot sweaty workout under the sun. Even better if it requires no equipment, so you can do it absolutely anywhere.

To kick it off here are some new moves in a new format!

There are 4 moves (A-D) each done for 30 seconds work/10 seconds rest.

For the first one below you’ll do A, AB, ABC, ABCD in order with NO ADDITIONAL REST. Then rest 1 minute and repeat (if you want).

In the second format you’ll work in pairs AB, AC, AD then BC, BD and then CD. You could either work your way through completely ever exercise for 30/10, without any additional rest, OR you could complete each pair as a TABATA set and make it a TABATA pyramid. It’d look like this:

20/10 each exercise, each set for 4 rounds: AB, AC, AD
Rest 1 minute
20/10 each exercise, each set for 4 rounds: BC, BD
Rest 1 minute
20/10 each exercise, 4 rounds: CD

Here is a video demo of each move (I show 2 reps for each move). Make sure to switch sides on the single leg burpee – you can do one leg each set or just switch half way through the round.
